With a Master’s in Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Law degree from PUC-Rio, he works in national and international arbitration and corporate litigation. He is Vice President of Arbitration at CBMA and serves on arbitration committees at both the Rio de Janeiro and Federal Bar Associations. Recognized by Who’s Who Legal and Análise Advocacia 500, he is also a postgraduate professor and frequent speaker at national and international events.

Luís Barreto Xavier has been President of the Knowledge Institute since 2019 and is a Consultant at Abreu Advogados, specializing in Private International Law. He focuses on legal opinions involving international jurisdiction, applicable law, and recognition of foreign judgments. He founded Católica Global School of Law and led Portugal’s first LL.M. program. He also has extensive academic experience and has represented the Portuguese State before the EU Court of Justice.

Victor Cabral Fonseca has 10 years of experience in legal innovation and Legal Operations. He led the first structured program of its kind at a full-service law firm in Brazil and has worked on transformation projects with major corporate legal departments. He holds a law degree from USP, a master’s from FGV-SP, and certifications from Singularity University and ScrumAlliance. He is currently a professor at Mackenzie Presbyterian University and co-coordinator at the OAB-SP Commission on Technology and Innovation.

Driven by a passion for innovation in dispute resolution, she has over 20 years of experience in Corporate Law, with a background in the Aviation and Banking sectors at companies like Embraer and Banco Opportunity, as well as in private practice. She is the founding partner of Mediar 360, focused on mediation, negotiation, and online dispute resolution. The first woman to chair the IBA Mediation Committee, she is also a Global Panel member at CPR. Currently Vice President of Mediation at CBMA and a contributor to the Kluwer Mediation Blog, she has been internationally recognized by Who’s Who Legal and Leaders League.
Government Relations Director at Mercado Libre
François Martins is the Government Relations Director at Mercado Libre, with extensive experience in public policy. He previously served as Government Affairs Manager for Latin America at Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD), a supervisor at Patri Políticas Públicas, and as a consultant to the Brazilian Federal Government in partnership with the OECD on anti-corruption initiatives.
François holds three law degrees from the Université de Paris (France), the Universidad de Valladolid (Spain), and the University of Brasília (Brazil), as well as a Master’s in Comparative Law from the Universidad de Valladolid.
